These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Kraken Guard browser extension and associated services. Please read them before installing or using Kraken Guard.

1. About Kraken Guard

Kraken Guard is a browser extension developed and operated by Chris Graham, trading as Kraken Guard, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom ("we", "us", "our"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Kraken Guard browser extension and associated services (the "Service"). By installing or using Kraken Guard, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not install or use the Service.

2. The service and its limitations

Kraken Guard lets you filter content on supported social media platforms — currently YouTube, TikTok, Reddit and X/Twitter — by blocking accounts and keywords you choose. The Service relies on the structure of these third-party websites, which may change at any time without notice.

We do not guarantee that filtering will be 100% accurate, that it will catch every instance of blocked content, or that it will keep working without interruption if a supported platform changes its site in a way that breaks compatibility. We aim to maintain compatibility but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Kraken Guard. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. If we become aware that an account belongs to someone under 13, we will delete it in line with our Privacy Policy.

4. Subscription plans

Kraken Guard is offered on three plans:

Plan features and pricing may change from time to time. We will give reasonable notice before any price increase applies to an existing subscription.

5. Payment and billing

Paid subscriptions (Pro and Pro+) are billed monthly in advance and processed securely by Stripe. We do not store or have access to your payment card details — this is handled entirely by Stripe under their own terms and privacy policy. Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel.

6. 7-day refund policy

If you're not satisfied with a paid subscription, you can request a full refund within 7 days of your initial payment by emailing us at the address below. Refund requests made after this 7-day window are considered on a case-by-case basis at our discretion. This policy is offered in addition to, and does not affect, any statutory rights you may have as a consumer.

7. Cancellation policy

You can cancel your subscription at any time from within the extension or by contacting us directly. Cancelling stops future billing but doesn't automatically refund any payment already taken for the current billing period — you'll keep access to paid features until the end of the period you've already paid for, after which your account reverts to the Free plan.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts we reasonably believe are being used in violation of these Terms.

9. Intellectual property

Kraken Guard, including its name, logo, design and underlying code, is the property of Chris Graham trading as Kraken Guard, except where third-party open-source components are used under their own licences. You may not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works of Kraken Guard without our prior written permission.

10. Disclaimer

Kraken Guard is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Chris Graham trading as Kraken Guard is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

12. Privacy policy

Our collection and use of your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms by reference.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll notify users of any significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
